I'm on Sick Leave yesterday.
Today,I need to have my clearance first from the clinic bcause of my Sick leave yesterday.
Then I had processed my salary complaint together with my groupmate who had problem because his Vacation leave has not been updated by our updating officer in our attendance.
We also checked a windows based taester that is experiencing blue screen and hang ups.What we did is check for the viruses and disabled the Anti-Virus,Kaspersky, in the tester's controller.Which is not connected to network,
I also had my Annual Physical Exam today,2nd and last part.

I was informed that we will go on with our server migration and the Other group is currently doing their thing in our server/s,more specifically our database server.I coordinate the status with the said group.
Also I was informed that we will be having a "free" training with the application used in our striptest production line.and Iam also taking charge of it....

I Get the specs of the handler PC of 5 machines which is a request from our vendor.They need to know the systems' running Operating System, Memory Size and Processor.
I also edit this site because of some company policy that should be apply,though it is my personal blog.Just follow rule,right?

Had my APE today,Annual Physical Examination.But this is only part one.Part two will be next week.
My team mate and I checked a DOS based tester that was reportedly can not boot-up.But the problem was not the PC it was the network connection.we tried to change the PC,using the same port and that problem still persist.We advise the production people that it was a network issue and we told them who is the right person for this problem.

Our FSE teach me How to add product code (?).I also make hios visit (again) an opportunity to asked some questions regarding our server/their application running in our server.
I also coordinated some problem regarding the over time we had last May 3, 2008.Our attendance was for that day was not updated by our updating officer.and it will be possible taht our OT last May 3 might not be paid this payday,thanks to updating officer and she did it to be before the cut off.

Early in the morning I got request for data retrieval ang deletion by a supervisor.I got 3 lots to retrieve which is composed o more or lessf 80 strips per lot.This lot was deleted by my group which supposedly should not be deleted.According to the supervisor they only requested to delete the mother lot but my groupmate also delete the sublots,which is this 4 lots.Luckily I easily got her .exp file for this file,.exp is the file extension for the back-up/exported strip data.
I got 8 lots to delete. 2 mother lots which 3 sublots each.they are also composed of more or less 80strips each.
I the afternoon,a manager talked to me regarding a new printer and how he wants it to be set-up for production.But I think it uses Black ICe,that according to my oss is a firewall to isolate certain network.But accrding to a LME it really uses the Black ice.

I was on Vacation Leave yesterday.
Today I got some data deletion request from the line supervisor.
Also our FSE had came to update something in our server.We also checker the new machine he installed Visual Basic and try the application program.The new machine,according to him, is dual strip.As of now I am not that familiar with that type of machine but I am willing to get familiar with it.

Yup,it's Saturday and we are at work.Still for server migration activity.We didn't stayed last night (May 2, 2008),we go home at 10pm and again I reported at 6am today.First thing I did is to check the HP 84K running in HP-UNIX.Those testers are the last platform we set-up for the new server last night(May 2, 2008)And I was happy to see them in green,on going production.I also did asked the operator for some inputs,it is in production since C-Shift but an HP84K tester experienced some problem,in program loading and acording to her rejection.That tester is also the tester that had a slow boot up last night,it find some difficulty in IPROC that according to my groupmate is a hardware,not for our group.=D
We continue to debbug Vista platform,UNIX based,which according to my groupmate has a special settings.He's master in this one,we coordinated it with ICS man who's now incharge for the test's server and a few minutes before 2pm they did it! and there are only 2 Vistas in our plant.
We also did the Q2 testers,DOS based testers.4 out of 6 are done and according to the maintenance guy the remaining two are defective.=D
Luckily,I was permitted to go home at 2pm since I will be having a long travel.imagine from Sta.Rosa, Laguna to Cavite City...

We are allowed to go home last night and today we go back at 6am.We are not sure if we will stay untill tommorow.
We continue preparing the testers for production tommorow of A-shift using the new server/s.
Main concern is the mapping of Windows Testers and mounting for DOS and UNIX testers.They should be able to access their home directories for them to be able to load their test programs and save their summaries/datalogs.
For Windows, it is simple mapping.But we encounter problem,they can not map!Maybe it the Samba installed in the new server(samba not the danceSamba is a free software re-implementation of SMB/CIFS networking protocol, ) and the passwords of the users.But we resolved it this afternoon.

And for UNIX, there are a lot of works to do here.There are diferent platforms with different set up.But the main concern is the tester can access the customer's home directory or upon login in they should be in their home directory.
This C-shift will be the start-up.This would also be a great opportunity for us to prepare/verify if we can go on with the migration.And the maint team will be available they will be the one to power up other testers.And the facilities are doing some changes in the a certain production area and we are affected since they are doing some changes in the drop polls and we do not have sockets for the power supply and ports for network connect.Maybe during start up those will be OK and we can go on with our activity.But we didn't stay,why?According to our boss our director still need to approve the C-shift OT.Which means,it is not sure that we will get paid for that.duh!?
Anyway,Let's just see what will happen tommorow,if this migration will be successful or failed...

For all of us know today is holiday,Labor Day.But instead of being with my family we was required to report today to work,actually upto Sunday,for the server migration.
Just a little background,our production server was almost 10years old and will be replace by a new one.The server will be now own by ICS team (Information and Communication Services).They'll be the one who's responsible for the production server once it was migrated.
Anyway,we are required to be at the plant at A shift (6am-2pm) original plan was the whole team will be there at A-shift,then one of my groupmate and me will be staying until B-shift (2pm-10pm) and another pair to cover C-shift (10pm-6am).But yesterday afternoon the plan was changed,From that 2-shifts schedule to 24hrs straight of works for 3 days.This is,according to our boss,due to time constraits.Then this morning we learned that the other group is not yet done in copying the old server,so we have nothing to do,until they are done.And our boss told us that we might be back to the original plan.And so we did.
Nothing to do until they are done in copying,yeah.But the day won't end with that reason.There are some major issues that are in line with this activity,one of it is the PCNFS testers,they are running in DOS.That's what we did almost the whole day,solving the PCNFS issue.We back-up the system and restore it to another HDD so that we will be safe if we failed.Using the new HDD we try to edit some configuration files such as network.bat , drives.bast and hosts.And we did it!horray!What we need now is for the product engineer to verify the settings,if he can load the program and go on with the testing.
We even try to log in at some UNIX based testers.Some log in are okay but some are not due to their mounting/home directories.
We go home at 10pm and will be back tommorow morning,6am.

I admit that I am not that good blogger,I think I already confess that before,I think in my other blog..
I can not update this blog,I was far left behind...my last post for this blog is for my activity last Feb. 04, 2008 two days before my birthday...and today is May 1,2008 so I am almost 3months late...
I actually have others blog/s my personal blog www.jhanok.blogspot.com ; my multiply blog www.jhanok.multiply.com which nowadays has updated posts.I also had two friendster account,my daughter's friendster account,my husband's friendster account (not so often) and my hubby and I's friendster account.Not to mention our myspace accounts and my tagged account.Haay...so many account but one has suffered...
But I would like to make it up to this blog,I would give up those 3months of late post and starting today I will,hopefully, update this blog.Sorry for that 3 months I failed to post/update this,but like what I've said those are given up and I will start again from this day...
