Retest Client,using the verification platform/testing system.This time our FSE is with us to check or verify the settings.And we successfully connect the client to our new server..
We also had our weekly meeting regarding the migration.

I continue the reconstruction of the software installation procedure.
I also did the inventory of our tester in our plant in Sta. Rosa.
Short post but the activities are really time consuming...

Today we had a testing with the client.Our vendor's FSE suggested to use one type of platform use only for verification.Which is not risky unlike the othe platforms.This platform,like I said is used for verification,we can try to create strip to check if the client really connects with the new server.While in the other platform there might be a lost of data if the client is not successfully connected to the new server and that is really risky.Anyway,we failed in this one...=(

That day I continue the system software installation in our new application server,I already started doing it last Dec. 28, 2007 and I just continue it that day.~that day?,it's just because it was a reallly really late post.~
Here's the things we need to do in Server Migration.
1. Change computer name .
2. Join to Domain.
3. System Software Installation.
4. Installing MSMQ.
5. Database Connection.
6. Configuring server/client.
7. Testing.
8. Buy-off.
9. Migration.
That day like what i've said I continue the software installation and do it again in the other server which will serve as the back-up server.We also had the database connection and the configuration of the application.With our Vendor's FSE with us.
